Well, it has happened again. Transfers have come around once again and I guess you guys probably want to know what is going on. Well, my companion Elder Perez is going to go to a little village outside of Resistencia and I am going to stay here. Unfortunately I don´t know a lot about my companion because I haven´t seen him yet, not even in a foto. From what I do know he is from Paraguay and has the same time in the misión as me. He talks really fast so once I can understand him (I have no reason to think that I can´t understand him right now) I will be able to understand anybody. His name is Elder Ortega. That will make 2 latino companions and 2 gringos. I am excited for the change and I am a bit nervous as well. Once again I have to know my area and I am not sure how well I know it. Well enough I suppose but it is still the combination of two areas. I was hoping that two more missionaries would come. Oh well. I will let you know more next week how things are. Tonight I will be waiting in the Terminal all night for my new comp. At least until 2 in the morning.
Conference was pretty much just amazing for me. I really enjoyed like every talk. I wished that a few investigators were there for some of them on Saturday because some of the apostles dropped the bomb on some major issues that people struggle with here when learning about the gospel. Unfortunately I don´t remember who the talks were by. I remember that Elder Holland spoke pretty powerfully and I really liked it. I also really enjoyed the talk by Elder Scott on Sunday about the planets and adoms and whatnot. It really gets you thinking a bit. A great talk for people who really on the philosophies and sciences of men. We really don´t know very much do we? I can´t wait to get our Liahona! I am also glad to hear that Jonathan went to priesthood by himself. There were some really great talks there as well.
I did get a letter from Andrew. Tennessee huh? That seems to fit him so perfectly. I am sure that he will really enjoy it. He still has a couple of months to prepare though. Until December, right before Christmas. What a bummer. It is probably better that way for him at least.
Well, we still have these baptisms set up for the 20th of October, but I am a bit nervous for it. I have never really baptized anyone before. The last time I pretty much just stood in the water and helped make sure she went completely under. And these are a couple of elderly people too. Well, I will have to think on this one a bit. Other than these baptisms, I think it is time we start focusing again on finding some good families to teach. We have quite a few investigators but they aren´t really progressing too well. I still have hope for a few of them, but we definately need to get looking for those who are ready to accept the gospel. I know they are out there. The misión has a goal of 1000 baptisms for this year and so far we are falling a bit short. We just got a letter saying that if every companionship baptizes 7 people we can reach our goal still. That would be two families. I want to do it. I know that it is going to require diligence on our part if we want to reach this goal.
Well, I guess it is time to get going. Love you all and hope you have a great week.
