Well it has been a good p day. We just got back from the ruins of San Ignacio. We traveled by collectivo for about 45 minutes to get there. They are in a nice little town away from posadas. It felt good to get out of the city for a bit. The ruins were kind of cool. Mostly it was fun because we got together with all the elders in Posadas. You know how it is with sight seeing. It was kind of interesting to see something like that too. We took a lot of pictures (and yes I could probably send some pictures home. That is why I asked for the cable which I did get in my package by the way.) Unfortunately I don’t have the cable with me right now so you will have to wait. It was really weird at the ruins because we saw stuff written in English for the tourists and we even heard some people speaking English. What a foreign language! If you want to check out the ruins a bit maybe you could try http://www.misiones-jesuiticas.com.ar/. I also got to here a bit of guarani. It is a language more like a bunch of grunts and noises.
Divisions are always good. We just had some others yesterday. My companion took the key to our pension though so we had to scale up to the roof and go in through the back door a few times. Once again I really enjoyed doing divisions. We do them probably about 4 times a transfer. Well less if you aren´t with the district leader, but I have always been with the district leader. I guess I am lucky…or unlucky. Divisions are just a great time to learn how to work better too.Well, we are continuing to work well with our investigators and I got a bunch of new tips from our Zone leader, Elder Vega, during divisions yesterday. With Ignacio and Teresa, we set a baptismal date for the 20th of October. We would have done the 13th if we didn´t have general conference the week before. If the health of Ignacio continues to improve they will definitely reach this date. They are going for it. I got the chance to take charge of the lessons and I really enjoyed teaching. Things went really well. I feel comfortable which is just a miracle in itself.
Helmuth too came to church again. We did find out that he is not married to his wife. Nooooo! The good thing is that they want to get married it sounds like. We also need to talk with him about the Palabra de Sabiduría. I think he has a little problem with light drinking. The thing is, he is really faithful and he knows what he needs to do and is working to make corrections in his own life and patiently wait until he and his family can be in the church together. His faith is really incredible.
I got the letters that Josh wrote. It sounds like he is doing really well. It is fun to here how he is advancing because I was there once too. At the same time he is having experiences uniquely different from what I am experiencing.
Okay so I still need to improve my castellano. The important thing right now is that I can communicate.
Well, love you all. Hope you have a good week.
